Vanessa Klein started learning about the benefits of a whole food, plant-based lifestyle when she left her home state of Montana and moved to Wisconsin to finish her college education. Her growing interest in this field continued as she learned more and more about the healing power of plants, and the benefits this lifestyle offers to not only our health but also the health of our planet and the animals.
Vanessa started to learn more about this lifestyle by reading all of the books and peer-reviewed, scientific research papers she could find. As she began to implement a WFPB lifestyle, she felt completely alone and didn’t know one other person that knew of this information, let alone, was supportive of the knowledge that she was learning. Even her husband Ian. Straight outta Wisconsin (AKA- cheese capital of the world), thought the two main food groups were cheese curds and bratworsts.
Luckily, as a PhD scientist, Ian didn’t take research lightly. So after hours of fact checking everything Vanessa had been telling him for over a year and checking references, she finally heard the words every woman loves hearing… “Honey. You’re right”!
Ian and Vanessa didn’t have a health coach or any of the resources that Thyme To Thryve offers today. Their journey took years of hard work, education, and most importantly, dedication, to get to where they are today. It didn’t happen overnight or in a 1 month time period. It took years for them to completely transition and that’s because they did it alone.
Fast Forward to today, Vanessa and Ian now feel healthier and more alive than ever and are ready to share their passion of whole food, plant-based eating with you! Because if they can do it, anyone can do it!
Throughout the years, Vanessa kept learning and creating WFPB recipes while earning a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell.
With an approach based on both research and real-life experience, she has created an immersive and supportive 30 and 90-day program to help others discover how a new approach to food can improve the quality of their lives.
